What is TIMECOIN?
TIMECOIN is the first memecoin on Tempo, the blockchain built for machine-to-machine payments. It's a TIP-20 native token with a fixed supply of 1 billion, fair minted through the website.
What is Tempo?
Tempo is a new Layer 1 blockchain launched by Stripe and Paradigm, designed for high-frequency payments. It processes 100,000 TPS with sub-second finality, and gas is paid in USDC. It powers the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) for AI agent transactions.
What is MPP (Machine Payments Protocol)?
The Machine Payments Protocol is an open standard (HTTP 402) that allows AI agents and machines to pay each other directly, without human intervention. Think of it as Stripe for bots. Instant, programmatic micropayments settled on-chain.
How do I mint TIMECOIN?
Connect your MetaMask wallet on the mint page. The site will add Tempo Mainnet to your wallet automatically. Click Mint and confirm the 0.50 USDC transfer in MetaMask. You'll receive 20,000 TIMECOIN directly in your wallet.
How do I get USDC on Tempo?
You can bridge USDC to Tempo from Ethereum, Base, or other supported chains. Visit the Tempo bridge at tempo.xyz to transfer your USDC.
What's the starting market cap?
At 0.50 USDC per 20,000 tokens, the implied price per token is $0.000025. Final FDV depends on the liquidity pool configuration at launch.
What about liquidity?
20% of the total supply (200,000,000 tokens) is reserved for the liquidity pool. These tokens will be paired with USDC on Uniswap V2 (deployed on Tempo) to create the trading pool. The LP configuration and launch timing will be announced before trading goes live.
Is there a DEX to trade TIMECOIN?
Uniswap V2 is deployed on Tempo. The LP will be created on Uniswap V2, and you'll be able to swap directly from our website. Details will be announced before trading goes live.
Can the supply ever change?
No. The supply cap is locked at 1 billion tokens and admin roles have been renounced on-chain. No one can ever mint more or change the cap. This is verifiable on Tempo Explorer.
Is this safe? What am I signing?
The mint only asks you to sign a standard USDC transfer. You can see the exact amount and recipient in MetaMask before confirming. No approvals, no unlimited spending, no message signing. The contract is verified on Tempo Explorer.
